The Foolishness of God

They said, “Hate or be hated”,
and he loved.

They said, “Fear and be feared”,
but he loved.

They said,
“Label,
judge,
ignore- “
and he saw our
common breath of
God
and loved us
more.

They said, “Die or draw your sword.”
And he died -
that we might love.
